Dr Ryan G. Paul – Endocrinologist

Associate Professor Ryan Paul (Ngāti Maru, Hauraki) is a Diabetologist and Endocrinologist who is proud to still call Waikato home after moving here at 6 months of age. Ryan is experienced in all areas of general endocrinology with a special interest in diabetes and obesity.

Assoc Prof Marianne Elston – Endocrinologist

Marianne is an experienced Endocrinologist with a particular interest in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and familial Endocrine syndromes.

Mr Dirk Drent – Urologist

Dirk enjoys the diversity of male and female urology. This includes laparoscopic and general open urological procedures. Minor procedures such as vasectomy, circumcision and prostate biopsies are done in the rooms.

Dirk was the first surgeon in New Zealand to perform laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy and sacrohysteropexy (Pelvic reconstructive surgery) on women with pelvic organ prolapse in 2001.

Racheal Sampson – Diabetes Nurse Specialist

Rachael is a prescribing Diabetes Nurse Specialist with over 10 years experience in diabetes care and management. She is one of the directors and founders of Aotearoa Diabetes Collective – a charitable organisation with a focus on improving equitable access to specialist care for people with diabetes in Aotearoa. Rachael focuses on ways to reduce the burden of diabetes for her patients.

Sarah Mercer – Dietitian

Sarah is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian with an interest in gastrointestinal issues particularly irritable bowel syndrome/ functional bowel disorders. She has surgical, diabetes and oncology dietetic experience.
